Family caregivers need breaks from time-to-time to tend to their own needs. Baal-Perazim understands that caring for loved ones is very demanding task. Recent research studies argue that lack of support/break for family carers can result in ill health or depression due to Carers stress. To help make caring more sustainable, we provide respite or a sitter service to family caregivers to allow them to take a break from their caring responsibilities. This can be from a few hours during the day to full working night shift. If you have caring responsibilities you can contact Social Care Direct and request for a Carers assessment. Under The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 The Local Authority has a duty to assess your needs. You can request for these services in lieu of day care or care home placement
